John Girvan is a blacksmith at the Canal Forge, Devizes and is known as a local historial, and creator of the popular Devizes Ghost Walk. John hosts a variety of local guided walks and illustrated talks and slide shows, including the Devizes Ghost Walk, Paranormal Workshop at The Canal Forge, and Devizes Heritage Walk. He is also the author of a number of local books, including most recently published Devizes Hidden Secrets, the sequel to the very popular Under Devizes. John has made a number of TV appearances, most recently as the local ghost investigator in Derek Acorah's Ghost Towns series.
